South East Tasmania Forecast - Weather (Synoptic) Situation: A ridge lies across Tasmania with a high centre to the west and a second, weaker centre to the northeast while a weak cold front will move over the south coast later this evening. The ridge will shift southeastward on Saturday as the weak front decays over the east coast. The ridge will then move further to the southeast on Monday as a trough of low pressure slowly approaches from the northwest, before moving over the west and north of the state in the evening. The trough is expected to move to the east of the state on Tuesday morning, however a weak secondary trough is expected to linger about the east until evening. 4 Day Synoptic Charts Forecast
