South East Tasmania Forecast - Weather (Synoptic) Situation:
A high pressure system over Western Australia currently extends a ridge over Tasmania while a cold front is passing south of the Bight, expected to push the ridge northwards this evening. The front is expected to cross Tasmania on Friday morning, bringing a westerly change, followed by a second front at night as the high moves over the Bight. A low will then pass to the south during Saturday, maintaining a vigorous westerly airflow. West to southwesterly flow should persist on Sunday as the high moves near Adelaide and another cold front approaches from the southwest.
